Position:  Varsity Boys Wrestling Coach

 

Position Summary:

The coach will provide leadership that promotes student-athlete development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic success while ensuring compliance with district policies and all applicable rules and regulations.

 

Qualifications:

• Successful coaching experience at the high school level or college coaching/playing experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and community members.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive athletic program aligned with district and athletic department goals.
• Instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills, strategies, and rules of the sport.
• Develop and communicate clear and specific goals for the team and individual players.
• Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, and character among student-athletes.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and team-related activities.
• Support student academic expectations, responsibilities, and achievements.
• Organize team meetings, equipment inventory, and program needs.
• Represent the school and community in a professional and positive manner.
• Coordinate with assistant coaches and support staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or Building Principal.

Compensation: 

14-16% on Step 1 of the BA Salary Schedule.
